Your poem ".50-cal. Gunner" strikes a chord about the war in the Middle East that is not presented enough> I am having my senior Humanities class read your poem as part of our poetry reading awareness series this semester. I'll keep you informed about their reactions.
Your poems are mostly better, mostly more personally evocative, and mostly less stylistic than this one, an okay piece, but not one I would have chosen from your stack, which is to say I admire your work tremendously, even when you pause to stand back and paint the occasional formal portraits Mr. Muldoon prefers to hang in his gallery.

Thank you, Vincent! I appreciate you using the poem with your students. Let me know if I can help in any way.
